+ St. Rocco’s celebrations:

I wish to express my gratitude to the St. Rocco’s Society, that organized the event, and to the many devotees who thronged our church and gave a public display of their faith marching through the streets of Chinatown under the August heat. Their dedication to our Catholic faith and their generosity to our Parish was moving.

+ Registration for 2008-2009 CCD and RCIA 

It will continue until September 1, 2008.  You may pick up a registration form either at the back of the church or downstairs on the bulletin board outside of the CCD classroom.

+ Looking for a way to be involved?  Are you Catholic?  Enjoy working with children? 

Then sign up to be a catechist!  We need you!  See Darlene Chan, Joe Delfin, Rosemarie Lau or Christine Delfin for more information.

+ Church roof:

Works at the roof have begun on Monday. I was surprised at the professionalism of workers: they did a very good job, so far. Contributions have reached the total amount of $16,478.00 that matched makes: $32,956.00. Thank You!
Please, check the “List of donors” for eventual typo and let me know if there are addictions or corrections to be made.

+ Parish Assembly:

Saturday Sept. 13th at Darien. From 9:00am prompt to 4:00pm. Lunch will be served. We have to give the Shrine Director and accurate figure of participants by Sept. 3rd. PLEASE, help us save money by signing up now. You can enter your name on any of the three Bill Boards displayed at the back of the church and in the basement.

St. Therese educational programs and activities provided to Chinatown community would not be possible without the generous support and participation from our sponsors, our close alliance with other organizations and individuals. We truly thank them for their generosity.

A quick reminder to the members of the FCM: we shall meet at the rectory on Mon. August 25th at 7:00pm prompt. Thank you for your dedication which allows us to operate professionally and conscientiously.
